the author has used in this present work of his, some such words of Sanskrit origin, although, however, he is not quite confident as to how far his view is correct.
Before concluding the forewords of his, the author deems it proper to mention that his young friend Srijut. Poornananda Sharmah pathak B. L. of the Local Bar, kindly went through the book, while in manuscript,and made many valuable suggestions, but for which the book would not have attained the shape in which it is at present, and for which act of his, the author will remain ever thankful. His name will remin ever associated with the book, as long as it will be remem-bered in the field of Assamese literature.
