“This is a poetical work in Assamese, by Sreejut Hiteswar Bor Boruah of Jorhat. Translated into English the title of the book meanss “Two Flowers Picked up from the Fallen Ones.” The Poems describe, firstly, the destruction of Komotapur, and secondly, the grief of a broken-hearted maiden.
Every Chapter is prefaced by appropriate quotations from English poets. We greatly appreciate the book for its language, which is decidledly Assamese -its metrical construction & beautiful style. Such publications are, no doubt, an invaluable addition to the literature of the country.
