পৃথিবী পতন হোৱা নাই কিয়? আৰু পৃথিবীত পূণ্য কেলৈ? —ধৰ্ম্মৰ কি আবশ্যক? ওথেলোৰ মূৰ ঘূৰিবলৈ ধৰিলে! ওথেলো উন্মাদ হ’ল!! ওথেলোৰ হৃদয়ত ঈৰ্ষাৰ জুই দপ্দপ্ কৰি জ্বলিবলৈ ধৰিলে!!!
এই ঈৰ্ষাৰ জুয়ে ওথেলোৰ সোণৰ সংসাৰ পুৰি ভস্মীভূত কৰিলে৷ ওথেলো ঈৰ্ষাত জৰ্জড়িত হই, নিদাৰুণ যন্ত্ৰণাত অস্থিৰ হ’ল! আৰু উন্মাদৰ দৰে ফুৰিৱলৈ ধৰিলে! স্বামীৰ এনেকুৱা অকস্মাৎ পৰিবৰ্ত্তন দেখি, ডেচ্দিমোনাই একো বুজিব নোৱাৰি, কাৰণ শোধাত, ওথেলোৱে গোটেই ঘটনাটো ডেচ্দিমোনাৰ আগত ভাঙ্গি নক’লে৷ এইটো ওথেলোৰ মহাভ্ৰম৷ এই খিনিতে দাৰুণ হিংসাৰ অভিনয় আৰম্ভ হল! হাতত এখন তৰোৱাল লই, ডেচ্দিমোনাৰ শোৱানী কোঠাত সোমাই, নিদ্ৰিতা ডেচ্দিমোনাৰ মুখৰ ফালে চাই উন্মাদ ওথেলোৱে ক’বলৈ ধৰিলে:—

And smooth as monumental alabaster, -

I know not where is that promethean lheat
That can thy light relume. When I have pluck’d thy rose
I can not give it vital growth again,
It needs must wither :— I’ll smell it on the tree.”
