Prof. Jyotiprasad Medhi, popularly known as Prof. J. Medhi world over, passed away for his heavenly abode on 3rd February, 2017. Many people of Assam do not know about the contributions Prof. Medhi made towards the world of Mathematics in particular and knowledge in general and the respect he commanded all over the academic world. In this article, I have tried my best to give a glimpse of this really great scholar from Assam to the readers.
