অক
অ, The first vowel in the Alphabet. In Assamese the sound fluctuates between long and short o, as in the two syllables of the word morrow. It is inherent in every consonant; but the mark (্) placed underneath suppress the vowel sound. Native writers denote the long sound of অ, by a circumflex, as কঁলা black; ম’হ a buffalo. Before a vowel অ becomes অন. As a prefix it is equivalent to un, n, not.

অংসি, s. ভাগি, ভাগৰ গৰাকি, a partner, a sharer.

অঁকা a. আঁক বাঁক কৰা, চিন দিয়া; এক পৰ্বতিয়া জাতি, marked, tattooed; s. a hill tribe of Assam

অঁকিওআ, a. আঁচ দিয়া, অঁকা, চিটাচিট কৰাৰ চিন, marked, striped, tattooed.
অঁটা, a. জোৰা, কুলুআ, enough, sufficient.
অতোতা, s. সৰা পোঁচা, পৰিপাটি, সজ কৰা, ভগা চিতা বতা, the act of putting in order, mending, repairing.
অঁৰা, a. চাইটিয়াকৈ লেখ কৰা, a term used in counting by fours.
অঁহ, interj. খঙ্গ উঠা মাত, an exclamation of anger or indignation.
অঁহিয়া, a. আঁহ থকা, stringy, fibrous.
অঁকটলা, a. ঠাল ঠেঙ্গুলি নকটা, আখি নকঁৰলা, not pruned, not trimmed.
অকটা, a. কেহা তিতা লগা, ঘিন ঘান নাইকিয়া, unpalatable, without disgust or aversion.
