 I can not adequately express the happiness I enjoy while going through “Jnyan-Malini”. In brief, it is exceptionally a charming poetical book. Its sweetness of tone, elegance of style, systematic arrangement of the purest Assamese words and sublimity of thought fill one's mind with holy and divine contemplation.

 An honest historian of Assamese literature will find himself puzzled in doing justice to our young writer, who commencing his devotion in causing improvement of the Assamese Language at so early an age, could surprise the literary public with gifts that would live as long as our literature exists.

 Jnyan-Malini is the production of Munshi Mofizuddin Ahmed Hazorika, son of Moulvie Md. Himmatuddin Hazorika, the well-known and respectable Mahomedan citizen of Dibrugarh. I have been much thankful to our young author for his kindness in allowing me to go through his book once, and have no hesitation in pronouncing it to be by far the best and the ablest that has yet been written in Assamese.

 Its introduction in the higher classes of our schools will be considered by every one of our countrymen as a
